On December 18, 2024 VEB Center hosted an award ceremony intended to recognize the winners of the rating “Legal Experts. Best Legal Counsel”, the first national rating of legal counsel in development projects.
Such survey initiated by Expert RA, a ratings agency, was undertaken for the first time. The ranking methodology was developed by Expert Business-Solutions.
VEB RF, a State Development Corporation supported the rating and provided expert consultations on specifics of legal services market and other sector-specific legal issues. The Expert magazine acted as the media partner of the rating.
Andrey Gorodissky & Partners has become one of the leaders of the rating recognized in Group 1 of the Intellectual Property nomination.
The specificity about the rating is that the analysts evaluated the work of legal counsel who provide legal support in connection with development projects in priority sectors of economy, such as: processing industry, infrastructural support of spatial development of economy and social sphere in the RF, construction (including renovation of industrial and utility facilities), telecommunications and data transmission, IT and data processing technologies, science, research and development, education, healthcare, agriculture, waste collection, treatment and disposal, environmental sector of economy, industrial ecology.
Development projects are implemented by private companies or partially government-owned companies and are focused on the development of the country, rising of living standards of citizens, cities, and other vital spheres. These projects serve the interests of our entire society.
Another precondition for taking part in this rating was high value of the implemented projects, minimum RUB 10 bln.
The main objective of the rating is to help businesses to orient themselves within the legal services market and keep track of companies’ development and success, to be “among other things a bridge to establishing of a dialogue between big businesses and local law firms”.
