Current trends in development of Russian legal business are to a large degree (if not totally) determined and triggered by the 2009 economic situation in Russia in connection with the global financial crisis. Many of those approaches previously used by law firms to build their business development strategy and assess results are no longer actual and will most likely be not applied in full during next two or three years. Legal business, which is functional and fully dependent on the level of economic development in the country, suffers the same problems as other industries.
