The article discusses participation of an attorney-at-law in arbitral proceedings in the capacity of an arbitrator. The author dwells on historical regulation of the status of attorney-at-law which restricted attorneys-at law from carrying on any other activities, as well as the question of whether an attorney-at law may legally perform functions of an arbitrator.
