The ICC International Court of Arbitration: Possibilities for Russia

On December 5, 2008 the International Conference & Workshop “The ICC International Court of Arbitration: Possibilities for Russia” was held in Moscow. The purpose of the event was to make Russian audience familiar with the ICC arbitration specifics and procedure and with experts’ opinions on the latest trends in international arbitration practice. Professor Ivan Zykin, partner of Andrey Gorodissky & Partners (Moscow), spoke on the role and functions of arbitrators. The workshop featured a mock case illustrating arbitration proceedings at the ICC International Court of Arbitration. Jason Fry, Jean-Christophe Olnt and S. Wolfson (Dewey & LeBoeuf, Paris) acted as attorneys and Andrey Gorodissky (Andrey Gorodissky & Partners) and Paula Hodges (partner of Herbert Smith, London) as attorneys. The mock trial was conducted in English in accordance with the 1998 ICC Rules of Arbitration.
