Kristina Melnikova has been specializing in intellectual property matters for more than 12 years.
Kristina’s main competencies are registration of trademarks and service marks, including contesting decisions of the Federal Institute for Industrial Property to refuse registration of applied marks, drafting, negotiating and registration of license agreements, contracts for assignment of exclusive rights to various intellectual properties, franchise agreements, as well as development of agreements for broadcasting, interviews, photo sessions and further assignment of exclusive rights to used materials.
Kristina advises clients on author’s and neighboring rights, rights to means of individualization (trademarks, trade names, domain names) and drafts claims and complaints upon discovery of unlawful use thereof.
Kristina has a vast experience in providing support in course of pre-trial settlement of intellectual property disputes.
Before joining Andrey Gorodissky & Partners (AGP) Kristina had worked for many years as a lead lawyer for restaurant holdings and is knowledgeable in restaurant business specifics.
Besides intellectual property, Kristina Melnikova has experience in corporate law matters associated with regulation of companies’ business and operations.
