Yuri is an of counsel of AGP, being our team member since inception of the firm. He specializes in regulatory issues, forex, tax and competition law, project finance, corporate and IP law.

His professional practice is connected with setting up and structuring of businesses. He also is a highly experienced expert in project finance and capital markets.

Mr. Tsvetkov advised a number of large foreign and transnational corporations operating in Russia in the fuel and energy sector, processing and iron and steel industry. In particular, he participated in their restructuring, rendered support in major stock sales and purchases, structured management procedures with participation of several investors, advised on foreign direct investments and other corporate governance issues.

Mr. Tsvetkov has considerable hands-on-experience in dispute resolution and handles real property disputes and bankruptcy proceedings before Russian courts at all levels.

He also represented clients in numerous international commercial arbitration disputes.

Yuri Tsvetkov is on the list of recommended arbitrators of the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Contributed to the formation of foreign-owned companies and joint ventures in Russia, specifically a building materials JV and a crude transport equipment JV.

nvolved in due diligence on a Russian manufacturer of electrical equipment in the context of its acquisition by a major French company, as well as due diligence on a major agricultural producer in Russia for potential local investors.

Contributed to the legal support for a project of a major Russian manufacturer to set up joint ventures in the CIS.

Contributed to legal opinions for major banks in the USA, the UK and Germany in the context of loans to Russian companies totalling several hundred million dollars, as well as issue and offering of debt securities of Russian companies in the US and Western Europe.

Contributed to paperwork to incorporate a holding company for a Russian and a German major to cooperate in the production of auto components and assemblies.
