On December 16, 2025 Expert RA, a rating agency, and Expert Business Solutions, an analytical company, prepared and announced results of the second Russian national rating “Law Experts. Top Legal Counsel” of the year 2024.
In 2025 changes in the rating’s methodology and the studied projects’ parameters took place. As compared with the first Expert’s rating which was held in 2024 and which covered exclusively the so-called development projects, in 2025 any projects the value of which was not less than 10 billion rubles were considered.
This year, Andrey Gorodissky & Partners Law Firm (AGP) has retained its leading position in the nomination Intellectual Property and Means of Individualization of Legal Entities, Goods, Works, Services, and Enterprises, having been rated in Group 1.
We also applied for 3 more nominations of the rating and have been included in the following groups:
Private Equity – Group 2
Corporate Law and Transactions – Group 3
Dispute Resolution – Group 4
The objective of the rating is a comprehensive assessment of law firms rendering consultancy services within the framework of supporting of important and major projects. The scope of the research includes analysis of legal counsel’s key projects, independent feedback of the clients on the quality of the services rendered and teams’ expertise, as well as efficiency of the provided support.
The rating is based on integrated methodology including weighted estimate of qualitative and quantitative indicators. Such approach ensures reasonableness, balance, and transparency of the results for all rating participants.
The following parameters representing key aspects of law firms’ performance were assessed within the research: efficiency of the team, results of the project related activities, services comprehensiveness, business activity and credibility, and data security.
Analysis of firms’ performance was based on a two-tier assessment model, including analysis of questionnaires filed by rated firms and verification of the data on the basis of feedbacks from external clients. Another component contributing to the reliability of the rating is the expert panel comprising representatives of the biggest government-owned and private companies, headed by the state development corporation VEB.RF.
