On August 4, 2026 Noôdome club space in Moscow hosted an award ceremony for law firms being leaders in the market of services for ultra high net worth individuals. On the same evening the WEALTH Navigator magazine (formerly known as SPEAR’s Russia) published results for all ranking’s nominations and categories.
The ceremony brought together representatives of law firms, private banking, family office and investment community.
As before, companies were categorized by placing them in the following three principal ranking groups:
“Leaders” – companies that have scored the maximum number of points for the uniqueness, complexity and effectiveness of the projects. In their portfolio they have major transactions, disputes and servicing clients entered in the Forbes List. Those companies actively develop practices for high net worth individuals, some have offices abroad or a partner network of foreign counsels, cooperate with private wealth departments of banks and are on top of Russian and international rankings.
“Leading Firms” – also top-ranking law firms that have achieved high scores, meet project uniqueness criteria, have in their portfolios large cases and well-known clients, strong market positions and stable reputation. Many of them have a special practice team for servicing high net worth individuals, have developed international partnership, and feature in all leading international ratings.
“Recommended Firms” – companies, worthy of attention: achieve high results, meet quality and services standards and have well-known clients in their portfolios.
Our firm was named in all above referenced groups within the following highly competitive nominations:
WEALTH Navigator: Lawyers for Private Wealth studies and ranks law firms that work with owners of large-scale assets and assist them with a wide range of matters: capital protection and management, asset structuring, financial transactions, taxation, sanctions, family and inheritance planning, asset-related deals, and immigration issues.
In 2026 it covered 14 main practice areas and more specialized sub-categories ranging from Russian and international asset structuring, tax and sanctions law, to financial transactions, family and inheritance planning, bankruptcy, dispute resolution, and immigration issues.
This year the scale of the study increased significantly, as compared with the previous one. 103 law firms were included into the long-list. This is by over 25% more than in 2025. The WEALTH Navigator team studied more than 3 thousand projects which are by 700 more than in course of preparing of the 2025 ranking.
The most competitive practice area was the structuring of assets in Russia: 43 companies were represented in the corresponding nomination (in this nomination AGP was named among leading firms). Also 39 firms were represented in the nomination "Assets related transactions: transactions involving assets, securities and investments " (where AGP ranked among practice area leaders). Nominations related to protection in bankruptcy and dispute resolution remain consistently in demand.
The structure of the ranking reflects a shift in high-net-worth individuals’ demand. Priority is shifting not just toward asset protection and resolution of existing disputes but also toward the proactive establishment of a sustainable capital architecture: defining ownership and governance rules, building scenarios for the creation of personal inheritance and family trusts, mitigating tax and sanctions-related risks, and safeguarding businesses against corporate conflicts.
Personal trusts remain one of the most popular instruments. They are increasingly used not only for asset consolidation and transfer, but also as a long-term infrastructure for managing family wealth.
