Following the increase in the trademark registration fees last autumn, the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS) subordinate to the Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) has increased its commercial service fees.
In particular, as of February 27, 2026, FIPS increased its patent and trademark search fees.
As a result of this, the cost of the accelerated (within 2 month instead of 8-12 months of examination as to substance) procedure for patenting of inventions and trademark registration has increased.
Now, the cost of expedited examination of an application for registration of, for instance, a word trademark amounts to 104,000 rubles instead of 94,000 rubles, as before.
